“Thank you, sir, we have to go,” I said steering Tasha out the door before she lost it on the poor guy.

“Thanks,” she said breathily. “I am kind of losing my mind right now.”

“I kind of saw that, but I have to say, I would definitely lose my shit if I found out I had a hundred million dollars sitting in a bank somewhere, too.”

“What the hell is going on here, Twitch?” She stopped us in the middle of the parking lot, staring at me as though I’d have the answers. “Why leave it all for me and nothing for Allie? It feels like guilt money… like she felt guilty about what I was going to go through or had gone through, so she left everything to me! Was she a spy or a hitman? Nothing makes sense!”

“Well you still have the letter to read, so let's get to the office and we can figure everything else out later, yeah?” I said, sympathetic.
